Tottenham are linked with Gallagher and Eze

The speculation linking Gallagher with a move to Spurs shows no signs of slowing down but there have been an increasing number of reports over the past few weeks that have suggested that the midfielder might actually end up staying put at Stamford Bridge.

This includes a recent update by Football Insider which claimed that the the Blues are open to offering the 24-year-old a new deal if a transfer does not materialise this summer.

Meanwhile, Eze also continues to be heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, with Football Transfers claiming on Tuesday that a meeting is soon set to take place between Spurs and Crystal Palace regarding a deal for the attacking midfielder.

Should Spurs sign Gallagher and Eze?

O’Hara believes that Gallagher and Eze will significantly elevate the current Spurs squad.

The former Tottenham man said on Grosvenor Sport: “In terms of potential signings for Tottenham this summer, I’d love them to get Conor Gallagher and Eberechi Eze. I don’t know if they can get them, but I know they’re available.

“Alexander Isak is also one I’d love them to get on board because I don’t think Richarlison is good enough. James Maddison and Heung-min Son dropped off a bit this season and I think that shows we need more competition in the team from an attacking sense.

“Eze and Gallagher would be perfect signings – they’re top players, exciting, they know what it’s about and would be signing for a club that are moving forward – especially as Tottenham have European football next season.”

Not only would Eze and Gallagher significantly improve Tottenham’s midfield but the fact that they are both homegrown would also be a major boost to Ange Postecolgou’s side, who are short of locally trained players at the moment.
