Ben Davies has shed light on just how close he is with Son Heung-min, revealing that his Tottenham teammate is his son’s godfather.

Son has always been an extremely popular member of the Tottenham changing room from the day he arrived at the club from Bayern Leverkusen in 2015.

That is perhaps why he was the obvious choice for captain under Ange Postecoglou, with the South Korean having a close relationship with almost all the players in the squad, including the youngsters.

Perhaps no one at Tottenham knows the 31-year-old as well as Davies does, with the Welshman having been with the forward through his entire spell in North London for the last nine years.

The defender and the forward noticeably get along quite well, now being the two longest-serving first-team players in the club.
