Radu Dragusin stars for Romania at Euro 2024

Dragusin had to bide his time at Tottenham since making the move from Genoa in January but the centre-back did end the season very strongly.

He came into Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven for the club’s last two matches of the season against Manchester City and Sheffield United, delivering solid displays in both games.

The 22-year-old has now seemingly carried that momentum into the Euros, helping Romania make a winning start to the tournament.

The Tottenham man and his centre-back partner Andrei Burca hardly put a foot wrong at the back, ensuring that their side kept a clean sheet and emerged comfortable winners against the Ukranians at the Allianz Arena.

He dealt with the occasion brilliantly and showed the type of composure that is rare for someone so young.
