Former Spurs manager spotted at Liverpool clash on Sunday as he waits for a new job

Sky Sports have revealed that Jose Mourinho was spotted at Liverpool’s clash against Fulham on Sunday, thus raising speculation on social media about whether he could replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.

Most would have thought that Mourinho’s chances of managing one of the bigger clubs in the Premier League would have been over after his failures at Manchester United and Tottenham.

His struggles at Spurs seemed like a defining blow to his managerial pedigree and although he did rebuild some of his reputation at Roma, his time at the Stadio Olimpico was certainly not a resounding success.

Could Jose Mourinho return to the Premier League?

The 61-year-old has been without work since being sacked by the Giallorossi back in January of this year but there are now murmurs among fans on social media about him potentially returning to the Premier League.

This was after the former Tottenham head coach was spotted at Craven Cottage yesterday in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Anfield.

With Jurgen Klopp set to leave the Reds at the end of the season, Mourinho’s attendance on Sunday has got some to speculate over whether he is a candidate to replace the German.

There is no chance that Liverpool would be considering Mourinho as a candidate to replace Klopp. However, we know that Jose is a master of optics and he might know that being spotted at a Liverpool game might perhaps get some clubs to contact him out of fear that they might lose out if they wait too long.
