Harry Kane names former Spurs teammate as the best finisher he has ever seen

Harry Kane has named Jermain Defoe as the best finisher he’s seen when asked to construct a complete striker.

Many will argue that Kane himself is the complete player, with the 30-year-old possessing almost every attribute that one looks for in modern-day number nines.

The former Tottenham man’s ability to finish with either foot is up there with the best while he is also fantastic in the air and elite in using his strength to hold up the ball.

Additionally, Kane is also a rare breed of centre-forward who possesses outstanding vision and passing range, often being able to drop deep to pick up the ball and pick out runners with inch-perfect through balls.

However, the England captain did not name himself while for any attribute when he was asked to construct a complete striker based on a few different categories.

Kane named his former Spurs teammate Son Heung-min as the best when it comes to running in behind while putting forward Gary Lineker for the fox in the box.

Peter Crouch was his pick for aerial ability while another former Tottenham star, Defoe, was picked for finishing.

Spurs Web Opinion

Defoe was an unbelievable finisher but he was also prone to missing a few chances. Kane is undoubtedly the best finisher that I have seen play for Spurs. There is no other player in world football who I would back more in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.
