Tottenham want to sign Albert Gudmundsson

Gudmundsson, who was one of the best attackers on show in Serie A last season, has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs this summer and the latest update on the forward’s future from Il Secolo XIX is rather promising.

The report points out that Tottenham have an excellent working relationship with Genoa after recently striking deals for Radu Dragusin and Djed Spence, with the North London club hoping to use that to their advantage to sign the Iceland international.

The outlet claims that Gudmundsson is certain to leave the Luigi Ferraris Stadium this summer on the back of the season he has just had.

Tottenham have a great relationship with Genoa

Even though both Inter Milan and Juventus are thought to be keen on his signature, it is said that there is a distinct possibility that the 26-year-old could leave Italy.

This is because Spurs have already made a move for Gundmudsson and would not have any issues meeting Genoa’s €30m (£25.3m) asking price.

The publication points out that the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri might both struggle to meet the aforementioned asking price for the versatile forward.

Spurs Web Opinion

It has been well-documented that Genoa and Tottenham are already holding talks over a permanent deal for Djed Spence.

It is quite likely that a deal for Gudmundsson would have also been discussed during those negotiations.
