Report: Talks now at ‘serious stage’ after club make ‘several offers’ to Spurs

1908 have claimed that Feyenoord are not giving up on their pursuit of Bryan Gil despite seeing several offers turned down by Tottenham, with the Erdiivise club continuing to hold serious talks with the North London club over the player.

It was the same outlet (1908) that first reported last week that Feyenoord had identified Gil as a target to bolster their attack and had already submitted an offer for him.

Now, the publication has provided an update on the transfer pursuit, explaining that ‘several offers’ have been sent from Rotterdam for the Spaniard.

Feyenoord make offer for Tottenham’s Bryan Gil

The report claims that the first offer, which was sent earlier this month, was worth less than €10m (£8.6m) but the Dutch club have since been putting more money on the table in an effort to convince Spurs.

It is asserted that Gil is ready to leave Tottenham and would be willing to move to the Netherlands if Feyenoord put an ‘ambitious project’ on the table.

Even though an agreement has not been reached between the two sides yet, talks are said to be at a ‘serious stage’ and it is claimed that Arne Slot’s men are of the view that the transfer is far from impossible to complete.

One would expect quite a few La Liga clubs to also enter the race for Gil over the coming weeks. Tottenham would be hoping to get a bidding war going for the winger and potentially push his price up to around £10m-£15m.
