Report: Tottenham regular could ’embark on a new challenge this summer’

GiveMeSport have claimed that Richarlison could be offloaded by Tottenham Hotspur this summer to make way for a new striker.

The report says that irrespective of whether Tottenham take up the option to sign Timo Werner permanently, Ange Postecoglou also wants to add another attacker to his squad.

It is alleged that the Spurs head coach has asked the club’s scouring network to profile striker targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

Richarlison could depart Tottenham this summer

It is alleged that the club’s transfer decision could have a ‘key bearing’ on Richarlison’s future, with the Lilywhites open to letting the Brazilian leave to make space in the squad.

The outlet says that with Son Heung-min also showing this season that he can operate centrally, the 26-year-old could ’embark on a fresh challenge’ this summer.

This update comes on the back of The Telegraph claiming last month that Richarlison is expected to be the subject of multiple offers from Saudi Arabian clubs when the transfer window reopens in June.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Postecoglou would certainly not be in a hurry to get rid of Richarlison, the club would have to seriously consider any offer of around £60m for the centre-forward, particularly given his struggles to remain fit for a sustained period.
