Report: Tottenham youngster ‘wants to open new page’ as Galatasaray circle

According to a report in Aspor (as translated by Sport Witness), Ryan Sessegnon has emerged as a target for Galatasaray this summer.

Sessegnon has hardly kicked a ball this season, with multiple hamstring problems forcing him back to the treatment table, where the 23-year-old has unfortunately spent the bulk of his time since signing for Tottenham in 2019.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the left-back, who is now said to be attracting interest from Turkey ahead of the summer window.

Galatasaray eyeing move for Ryan Sessegnon

Aspor say that Galatasaray are preparing their summer transfer list at the moment and one of the names added to the list recently is that of Sessegnon.

The report points out that the former Fulham man has barely played this season due to injuries and suggests that with his contract ending in 2025, Spurs would be willing to offload him.

The outlet highlights Sessegnon’s speed and athleticism as something that attracts the Turkish club and suggests that the youngster ‘wants to open a new page in his career’.

Spurs Web Opinion

While it would be completely understandable if Sessegnon wants a fresh start elsewhere, I would be quite surprised if he is willing to move to Turkey at this stage of his career. The left-back would likely want to kickstart his career at a Championship side or perhaps a newly promoted Premier League club.
