Guglielmo Vicario has said that there is a feeling that something special is being built at Tottenham, with the goalkeeper insisting this young Spurs side can achieve big things in the future.
This season was always expected to be a transitional one for Tottenham, with Ange Postecoglou tasked with integrating several new, young faces into the side while also changing the Lilywhites from a counter-attacking outfit into a front-foot side.
While most Spurs fans were thus willing to right this campaign off as a free-hit at the start, expectations have since changed owing to the brilliant football the side has produced at times this season.
That is perhaps why there has been a massive negative reaction to the 3-0 loss to Fulham, with Postecoglou being a victim of his own early success.
Vicario predicts special things to come at Spurs
However, Vicario believes that this young Tottenham team is going to stay together for a while and insists that he and his teammates want to achieve special things.
When asked if he feels that the club are building towards something, the goalkeeper told the club’s official channel: “Yeah. We are very young, we hope to stay together a long time because I think we have this quality, this togetherness, this desire to stay and to try to do something special. I can feel this now.”

Tottenham fans will do well to remember that there are a lot of inexperienced players in the current side, with many players still getting used to the demands of Premier League football. This side is only going to improve over the next few years, with a number of players still nowhere near their ceiling.
