Arsenal legend makes Spurs top-four prediction that heavily involves Richarlison

Ian Wright has praised Ange Postecoglou for managing to get the best out of Richarlison and suggested that the Brazilian could guide Tottenham to Champions League qualification if he maintains his current form.

Richarlison has been candid about the mental health struggles that he has endured recently, with the striker admitting that he feels in a much better place at the moment after seeking professional help on the matter (ESPN Brazil).

The forward has been widely ridiculed by sections of the media over the last few months, with Gabby Agbonlahor even suggesting that he would be playing in League Two if he was not Brazilian (talkSPORT).

However, since returning from his pelvic surgery at the start of December, Richarlison has shown just why Spurs paid £60m to sign him from Everton, having now scored six times in his past six Premier League appearances (Optus Sport).

Can Richarlison fire Spurs to a top-four finish?

Wright believes that Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit for the way he has managed the 26-year-old and helped him rediscover his confidence.

The former Gunners striker said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show about Richarlison: “The manager has managed him, managed how he feels and managed his emotions, he needed that, someone to put the arm around him and we’re seeing now.

“I’ve said if they get all of those players fit and Richarlison is in that form, they’re going to cause problems for teams, they’re definitely going to finish in the top four.”

One cannot help but be over the moon for Richarlison, not just because of what he has gone through from a mental health standpoint but also because of the type of character he is. The 26-year-old plays with his heart on his sleeve and is evidently very popular in the dressing room.
