‘He would be good for us’ – Bayern president talks about Harry Kane yet again

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has said that signing Harry Kane would not just be a coup for his club but also for the Bundesliga in general.

Based on the various reports emanating from both Germany and England over the last few days, it now appears as if Kane is more likely than not to complete a move to Bayern this summer.

Multiple English outlets have claimed that Tottenham will cash in on their star striker if he does not sign a new contract this summer (Daily Mail and Mirror) while sources from Germany have revealed that Bayern are optimistic that they will be able to get the deal over the line (Florian Plettenberg).

Over the last 24 hours, some reports have also suggested that the Bundesliga champions are now ready to submit their third offer for the Tottenham man (Ben Jacobs and Football Insider).

Bayern Munich continue media assault on Kane

Bayern officials have certainly not been shy of announcing their intention to sign Kane to the press over recent weeks, and Hainer has now become the latest to talk about the 29-year-old publicly.

The German club’s president and chairman of the club’s supervisory board said (via Georg Holzner): “I think the Bundesliga doesn’t have that many international stars anymore. That contributes to how the Bundesliga is marketed internationally.

“FC Bayern always tries to get international stars to make us and the Bundesliga better. Harry Kane is definitely a highly attractive player, England national team captain, and top scorer. He would be good for us and the Bundesliga.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While it is quite annoying that Bayern are continuing to talk about Kane publicly, the confidence with which their officials are speaking, suggests that they believe it is already a done deal.

So, we should expect some concrete movement on the Kane front sooner rather than later.
