Journalist reveals Bayern Munich bosses will return to Germany tonight after Spurs talks

Florian Plettenberg, who has been all over the Harry Kane saga for the past month, has reported that the Bayern Munich hierarchy will return to Germany tonight.

The journalist assured Bayern fans that the club’s bosses did not expect to fly into London and secure a deal today, as negotiations for Harry Kane are ongoing with Spurs.

Spurs and Bayern are not yet close to Kane deal

This comes after Sky Sports reported that Tottenham and Bayern remain at least £20m apart in their valuations of the England captain, although talks are not over.

The Bayern hierarchy met Daniel Levy for lunch in central London today and talks continued well into the afternoon, although it is clear the Spurs chairman is demanding a higher fee for his star man.

Tottenham will also reportedly insist on a buy-back clause in any deal to ensure they have the chance for a reunion with Harry Kane in the future.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is going to drag on and on. Even if Kane does stay, Spurs are going to stutter their way into the season, and other transfers are going to be put on hold. It seems as though Tottenham are incapable of having one good transfer window from start to finish.
