Journalist reveals when Postecoglou will give his first Spurs press conference

The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed that Ange Postecoglou will give his first press conference as Tottenham’s head coach on Monday, July 10.

Postecoglou and his new-look coaching staff, which consists of Ryan Mason, Matt Wells, Rob Burch Chris Davies and Mile Jedinak, have been overseeing pre-season training with a bunch of non-international Spurs players and some youngsters from the academy over the past few days.

Alasdair Gold reported via Football.London that the Australian has made a great first impression on the players, who are excited by the kind of football that he wants them to play.

The journalist added that the Spurs squad have also been roused by Postecoglou’s style of communication, with the 56-year-old said to have left them in no doubt as to what is expected of them.

The new Tottenham head coach has given a couple of short interviews about his new role but has not yet faced up to journalists in an open press conference yet.

Eccleshare has now revealed that the first time Postecolgou will do that would be at lunchtime next Monday.

There is no doubt that a lot of the questions in Ange’s first press conference would revolve around Kane’s future.

The Australian would want to speak to the striker over the coming days so that he would be able to offer some clarity on the club’s and the 29-year-old’s plans.
