‘Look how happy’ – Ian Wright makes Harry Kane to Bayern Munich joke

Ian Wright has taken to social media to joke about how delighted Alan Shearer is that Harry Kane appears to be nearing a switch to Bayern Munich.

Reports over the last few days have indicated that Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe are expected to fly to London for talks with Daniel Levy this week to try and hammer out a deal for Kane (Telegraph).

This has also been backed up by Fabrizio Romano, who claimed on social media earlier today that the next few hours are ‘crucial’ in the negotiations over the England captain, with the Bundesliga giants expected to improve their previous €80m (£68.6) offer.

Alan Shearer may be licking his lips at Kane rumours

It remains to be seen whether the new offer will be enough to convince the Tottenham chairman to sell Kane, but one man who will be hoping that the deal goes through without any hiccups is Shearer, with the Spurs star now just 47 goals behind the Newcastle legend’s Premier League record.

Wright has now joked that Shearer is delighted with what appears to be transpiring with Kane’s future

Kane will certainly believe that he can return to the Premier League in a few years and break Shearer’s record.

So the former Newcastle man should not be counting his chickens just yet as I can easily see the Tottenham striker playing on until his late thirties, given that he is not reliant on his pace or athleticism.
