Tottenham’s 2024/25 Premier League fixture list

It may have only been a month since the end of the last season, but Spurs fans can now look ahead to the coming campaign and get excited about the games facing the Lilywhites each month for the 2024/25 campaign.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men will have more games to contend with than last season, having qualified for the Europa League — a welcome addition to the schedule, of course.

Spurs will be hoping to push on and achieve at least a top-four finish in the Premier League this time around, too, and we now know exactly when their biggest tests will arise as the club announced its fixtures for the impending season.

5 key fixtures to watch out for

Here are the five games we are most excited for in the 2024/25 calendar, from London derbies, to intriguing tests, and season openers and closers.

Monday August 19 vs Leicester City (A)

Tottenham begin the season later than the rest of the league, with a Monday night fixture against newly-promoted Leicester City. It will be interesting to see how Spurs fare against a team that flourished in the Championship, but one that is also still looking for a new manager.

Look out for James Maddison against his former club, and the familiar face of Harry Winks, too.

Saturday September 14 vs Arsenal (H)

There’s every chance this game will move from the Saturday 3 pm kick-off, as it’ll likely be picked for televised coverage on the Sunday instead.

Regardless, this is undoubtedly the biggest game in Tottenham’s calendar, and they’ll need to make a statement after struggling against Arsenal in the last two seasons.

Tuesday February 25 vs Manchester City (H)

The last time Spurs played Pep Guardiola’s side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it was one of the strangest situations the club has found itself in, as winning that game could have handed the league title to fierce rivals, Arsenal.

Postecoglou hated that game, and Spurs ultimately lost, with City finally finding success at our ground. We have to put that right this season, and hopefully it won’t lead to any Arsenal celebrations this time around.

Wednesday Apr 2 vs Chelsea (A)

The Battle of the Bridge is still a night that lives long in the memory of any Spurs fan, and last season’s encounters between the two sides were suitably fiery, and also very disappointing for the Lilywhites.

A catastrophic 4-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November of last year was something of a catalyst for Spurs’ loss of form in the following months. A 2-0 defeat at the Bridge in May compounded a miserable run of London derbies for Spurs, and revenge is very much needed this season.

Sunday May 25 vs Brighton & Hove Albion (H)

Curtain closers are always fun, especially when Spurs get to wrap up the season at home. The final home game of last season was the ill-fated clash with Manchester City mentioned above, so this game against Brighton should be a lot more enjoyable.

Hopefully, we may even see Postecoglou and Sonny doing a victory lap with a trophy in their hands, too — wouldn’t that be nice?
