Report: Bayern Munich are not Harry Kane’s first choice this summer

Football Insider have claimed that Harry Kane would prefer a move to Manchester United over Bayern Munich this summer.

On Sunday, The Daily Mirror reported that Man Utd had been put on red alert after Tottenham’s majority owner Joe Lewis made it clear that Kane would have to be sold this summer if he does not sign a new contract.

The report claimed that United had called off their pursuit of the 29-year-old earlier this summer after being quoted a price of £110m for the striker.

However, it was alleged that there is now some hope at Old Trafford that Kane’s price would come down in light of Lewis‘ latest ultimatum.

Man United are now Kane’s number-one choice

Football Insider have now backed up the claim about United back being back in the race for the Tottenham man’s signature.

It is asserted that the Manchester club is Kane’s preferred destination this summer as a move up North would give the Spurs star an opportunity to break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record.

However, the outlet also reveals that the centre-forward is aware that the Red Devils will find it difficult to strike a potential deal with Tottenham.

While Kane might be tempted to move to Man Utd, it is clear that Levy would be prepared to even take a reduced transfer fee to sell the striker abroad.

It is also quite apparent that the 29-year-old is very much open to a move to Bayern. I expect that transfer to go through sooner rather than later.
