Report: Bayern Munich’s latest bid for Harry Kane could reach over £100m

As the clock ticks on Bayern Munich’s take-it-or-leave-it offer for Harry Kane, a new report has offered details of the German side’s bid for the Tottenham Hotspur striker, which could include up to €20m (£17.2m) in add-ons.

The saga surrounding Harry Kane‘s future appears to be coming to an end, one way or another, as Bayern Munich have submitted their ‘final’ offer for the player today and want a ‘quick decision’ from Tottenham as to where they stand (Sky Sports News).

After executives from both clubs met earlier this week, it was believed there was still a difference of roughly £25m between the valuations of Kane from both sides of the negotiations, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy refusing to budge on the price tag (David Ornstein).

Since then, it is thought Bayern have returned with a new and improved offer worth an initial €100m (£86.2m), and are demanding Tottenham respond today (Florian Plettenberg).

Bayern’s new Kane offer could be worth over £100m

According to a report from ESPN on the matter, we have more details regarding the offer Bayern have submitted and just how much it could be worth to Tottenham should they choose to accept it.

Apparently, the new bid from the Bundesliga champions is €100m (£86.2m) “guaranteed” with a further collection of potential bonus payments worth €20m (£17.2m).

It is believed that Bayern have set a “deadline of midnight on Friday” for Spurs to respond to the offer of over £100m. The German outfit have even reportedly “threatened to move onto other targets” if Tottenham do not accept this latest bid.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Daniel Levy will want a guaranteed £100m before he accepts Bayern Munich’s advances, and the fact they have tried to pressure him with this deadline cannot have gone down well with the Spurs chairman.

Bayern are not really in a position to threaten us, when we are more than happy to keep hold of Kane anyway. I think this offer will be rejected, and Bayern will eventually come back with the £100m Levy wants.
