Report: Blow for Tottenham as Radu Dragusin says ‘yes’ to another club

CalcioMercato have claimed that Radu Dragusin has agreed to join Napoli after the Serie A club stepped up their interest in the Genoa star.

The report says that the reigning Serie A champions are keen to add a centre-back to their squad and their owner, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has started working on the same, with Dragusin alleged to be at the top of his wishlist.

It is explained that Napoli are ‘serious’ about signing the Romanian and have already begun talks with Genoa, with Walter Mazzarri’s men allegedly willing to include two of their players, Alessandro Zanoli and Leo Ostigard, as part of the deal.

Radu Dragusin says yes to Napoli amid Spurs links

The outlet claims that the club have stepped up their talks after Dragusin said ‘yes’ to the idea of moving to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The publication adds that Tottenham ‘have not yet made a move’ for the 21-year-old even though the player is dreaming of a switch to the Premier League.

This update from CalcioMeracto comes less than 24 hours after Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas reported that Spurs are not concerned about Napoli entering the race for Dragusin.

Spurs Web Opinion

Napoli are not going to bid Spurs, nor are they going to be able to match the salary that Tottenham can offer Dragusin. As long as the centre-back is leaning towards a switch to North London, the Premier League season should have nothing to worry about.
