Chelsea and Liverpool both eyeing reported Tottenham target – Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea and Liverpool are now eyeing a potential move for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Summerville is coming off an outstanding season in the Championship, with the skilful winger scoring 21 times and providing 10 assists across all competitions in 2023-24 (Transfermarkt).

It had previously been reported by CalcioMercato (via Sport.fr) that the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle were circling over the attacker.

The outlet claimed that Daniel Farke’s men had put a price tag of €45m (£38.7m) on the player’s head to ward off the interest in the Dutchman.

After Leeds failed to win promotion, it was reported by HITC last week that the winger was now even more likely to leave Elland Road this summer, suggesting that Tottenham’s chances of signing him had been boosted.

The report revealed that Spurs’ North London rivals, Arsenal, had also been watching the Dutchman ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea and Liverpool also want Summerville

If Romano’s latest update is to be believed, Chelsea and Liverpool have now also joined the queue for Summerville’s signature.

He revealed that both the Blues and the Reds had been watching the 22-year-old’s progress closely and had now expressed an interest in securing his services.

However, Romano added that neither club have had any advanced talks over a deal for the winger, although they are both expected to soon reach out over a deal.

The fact that so many top sides want Summerville is evidence of the fact that the winger is rated extremely highly by those who work within the game.

A move to the Premier League looks inevitable for the Leeds star this summer but he might prefer to join a mid-table sign in order to give himself the best chance of starting matches regularly.
