Report: Details emerge as Tottenham are confident of signing Antonio Nusa this week

TEAMtalk have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur remain confident that Antonio Nusa will be a Spurs player sooner rather than later.

Some Spurs fans may be getting a little anxious that the club appear no closer to getting the Nusa deal over the line despite being in talks with Club Brugge for almost two weeks.

In fact, a couple of days ago, Football.London’s Alasdair Gold explained that the Lilywhites are yet to launch a single official offer for the Norwegian player.

An update by Football Insider on Tuesday would have made some Tottenham fans sweat even more as it was suggested that Newcastle are now considering entering the race for the 18-year-old and hijacking Spurs’ pursuit.

Antonio Nusa to Tottenham deal remains on track

However, TEAMtalk have now assuaged the fears of those associated with Tottenham by explaining that Nusa’s proposed move to the North London club remains on track.

The report states that the winger remains Spurs’ ‘priority target’ and asserts that contrary to recent updates, the negotiations have not stalled.

In fact, the publication claims that Ange Postecoglou’s men are confident of agreeing a deal for Nusa by the end of this week.

With a little over a week left in the window, Tottenham still have plenty of work to do as they need to finalise a deal to sign Nusa and a central midfielder while also finding new clubs for Hojbjerg, Sessegnon and Gil.
