Report: Goalkeeper’s agent met with Tottenham in England last week

90 min have revealed that the agent of Giorgi Mamardashvili met with Tottenham, as well as other Premier League clubs, last week to discuss a potential summer move.

Valencia have had a disastrous season and find themselves locked in a battle for survival but Mamardashvili has been their shining light, with the goalkeeper going from strength to strength.

The youngster’s displays at the Mestalla are thought to have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs ahead of the summer.

90 min assert that Mamardashvili’s representatives were in England last week to speak to Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester, with the Foxes said to hold ‘the strongest interest’ in the player.

The report reveals that Atletico Madrid, Monaco and AC Milan could also make a move for the 22-year-old depending on what happens with their respective number ones.

The publication adds that Mamardashvili is keen to leave Valencia, with the Spanish club valuing the Georgian international at around £30m.

Mamardashvili and Diogo Costa are the two most promising young goalkeepers on the market this summer, and it appears as if the former is going to be much cheaper than the Porto man due to their respective contract situations.
