Report: Harry Kane’s wife offers biggest clue yet as to where his future could lie

Bayern Munich are thought to be ‘getting closer’ to completing the signing of Harry Kane, with the main signal of this being that his wife has been spotted in Germany over the past few days and is believed to be looking for a house.

The noise surrounding Harry Kane‘s future seems to be louder than ever this summer, with the major difference being that the player himself appears keen to leave Spurs.

The problem for the North London club is, if they don’t sell now, they could lose their star man for nothing next year when his contract comes to an end.

Tottenham are believed to be doing their utmost best to persuade Kane to stay put, and are thought to be ready to offer the 29-year-old a bumper new contract with wages of around £400,000 a week (Telegraph).

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are doing all they can to sign the England captain. The German giants are expected to submit a fresh bid for Kane once Tottenham are done with their pre-season tour, with a view to getting a deal finalised by early August (Football Insider).

Harry Kane’s wife spotted house-hunting in Germany

Now, a report from Bild Sport has suggested the deal is “getting closer” after Kane’s wife and their family were seen in Germany inquiring about houses and schools.

Kane’s wife, Katie, visited Munich recently with members of their extended family and is believed to have been viewing housing options in Grunwald, which is just 12km outside of Munich.

The report describes this development as the “real hammer” in the ongoing situation, and adds that Kane himself “really wants to go to Munich.”

It can only be a matter of time before this deal happens, surely. Kane clearly wants the transfer to come to fruition, and Bayern know exactly what it will take to persuade Daniel Levy and Spurs to sell this summer.
