Sport have reported that Real Betis now have some money to reinvest this summer after the sale of Sergio Canales, with Giovani Lo Celso mentioned as a potential target.
Betis have been linked with a move for their former midfielder all summer, but the reports often added that funds were an issue for the La Liga side.
Real Betis have money to spend on Lo Celso
When they were linked with Lo Celso at the start of July, it was posed that Betis believed the playmaker would be out of their price range for the summer (Mucho Deporte).
AS confirmed that Real Betis very much wanted to bring Lo Celso home, but would struggle to afford him, with the chances of the deal coming off being described as ‘slim’.
However, Sport now report that the Spanish club finally have some money to reinvest thanks to the Canales sale, which could go some way to putting down a bid or loan offer for Lo Celso.

It’s a shame the Leicester match was cancelled because I was very interested to see whether Lo Celso would kick on and impress once more under Postecoglou.
I still would not rule out one of Lo Celso or Ndombele having a place in the squad next season, but probably not both.
