Report: Serie A club have now also opened talks over deal for Dragusin

Tottenham Hotspur may still have some competition to contend with for Radu Dragusin’s signature, with Sky Italia now reporting that Napoli have now begun talks with Genoa over the centre-back.

Spurs Web has relayed several updates over the last 24 hours (including one by Fabrizio Romano) which have suggested that Tottenham are now in advanced negotiations with Genoa over Dragusin and are now confident of finalising a deal.

However, if the latest update from Sky Italia is to be believed, Tottenham still have some work to do as Napoli have not given up on their pursuit of the Romanian.

Napoli open talks with Genoa for Radu Dragusin

It is alleged that Walter Mazzarri’s men are now in dialogue with Genoa over Dragusin, with a part-exchange deal being discussed between the two clubs.

The report alleges that Napoli’s Alessandro Zanoli is on Genoa’s agenda and that the reigning Serie A champions could offer the right-back to Alberto Gilardino’s men as part of their bid for the 21-year-old Spurs target.

However, Sky Italia add that Napoli have to be wary of competition from Tottenham, suggesting that the North London club are expected to launch an offer for Dragusin in the ‘next few days’.

Spurs Web Opinion

It has been widely suggested that Dragusin has agreed personal terms with the Lilywhites and is keen on a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So, as long as Spurs can match Napoli’s offer, they would fancy their chances of winning the race for the Romanian.
