The Daily Mail claim that Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Norwich City sensation Jonathan Rowe.
Reports over the past few weeks have indicated that Ange Postecoglou is keen on signing a versatile attacker in January, with Al-Ittihad’s Jota alleged to be at the top of the North London club’s wishlist (Telegraph).

Tottenham are looking at Jonathan Rowe
However, it has now emerged that Spurs are keeping tabs on Rowe, who is having a breakthrough season at Carrow Road, having taken the Championship by storm this season, with 10 goals and two assists to his name in 24 league matches so far (Transfermarkt).
Although the 20-year-old prefers playing on the left, he can also operate on the other flank and has occasionally even played as an attacking midfielder, which is perhaps the sort of versatility that would appeal to Postecoglou.
The winger has just 18 months left to run on his contract at Norwich, and The Mail suggest that he is also on Aston Villa’s radar.

The fact that Rowe is also on Villa’s radar might suggest that he is a player who has been identified as a future star by Johan Lange’s network of scouts.
However, given that the 20-year-old has only had half a season of regular football at Championship level, it would be a big ask to expect him to make a step up for a team at the top end of the Premier League.
