Report: Spurs are now open to selling first-team winger amid Napoli interest

After speculation mounted over the last few days regarding one Tottenham player’s future and increased interest from Napoli, it seems the Lilywhites may actually be open to letting him go if the right offer comes in.

Kulusevski heading back to Serie A?

It looks like former Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, is keen on working with Dejan Kulusevski once more at his new club, Napoli.

The latest on the matter comes from CalcioMercato, with the suggestion that Tottenham may actually regard the Swedish winger as one of the players in their squad who would be available for transfer this summer.

It is thought Napoli are now waiting to see what happens with Kulusevski’s situation at Spurs before they make their move. The report adds that the winger is currently “unstable” in North London.

Dejan Kulusevski’s price is set

Whether Kulusevski does move on or not remains to be seen, but CaclioNapoli24 reporter, Valter de Maggio, has stated Napoli would need to pay €45m (£37.8m) for the 24-year-old.

It is believed Conte is hoping to use his ‘special relationship’ with Kulusevski, whom he has coached at both Spurs and Juventus previously, to lure the Swede away from the Premier League (CalcioMercato).

There is a chance Kulusevski could stay in England, though, with interest also coming from Aston Villa, who are looking to replace Moussa Diaby. Football Transfers claim Spurs would replace Kulusevski with Pedro Neto if a move were to occur.

Spurs Web Opinion

I really don’t like the idea of us selling Kulusevski. He’s a great player and offers lots of creativity, especially if he can get back to his best form.

He’s looked sharp and dangerous in pre-season, albeit playing a more central role, which I actually believe is his most effective position. Either way, we’re going to have to sign a new winger this summer.
