Report: Spurs finally set to cut losses on 26-year-old – £11m fee mentioned

The Daily Mirror have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to finally cut their losses on Tanguy Ndombele, with Galatasaray keen on signing the midfielder.

There was renewed hope among Spurs fans that Ndombele could revive his Tottenham career under Ange Postecoglou, with some reports over recent weeks indicating that the Australian has been a fan of the Frenchman for a long time (L’Equipe via Sport Witness).

However, it was reported by journalist Ertan Suzgun on July 19 that Galatasaray are trying to poach the 26-year-old from Spurs. He claimed that the Turkish side had launched an offer of £7m for Ndombele, which was knocked back by Spurs.

Sabah subsequently claimed last week that Galatasaray are refusing to give up on their pursuit of the midfielder and are continuing to work on a deal to sign the Spurs star.

Tottenham ready to offload Tanguy Ndombele

If The Mirror’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs are now ready to cut their losses on the midfielder amidst interest from the Istanbul club.

The report claims that Galatasaray are now looking to agree on a deal worth £11m with Tottenham for the 26-year-old.

If this is true, that means that Ndombele has not done enough in training to convince Postecoglou that he could be part of his plans. If that were the case, it is high time that Spurs cut their losses on the Frenchman and get him off the wage bill.
