Report: Spurs to expect Brazilian international to fill Harry Kane’s role in ‘expected’ sale

Tottenham Hotspur are set to call upon Richarlison to play the central striker role this season if Harry Kane leaves the club to join Bayern Munich, according to The Times.

The report claims that Kane is ‘expected’ to make the move to the Bundesliga giants with Richarlison being the man to try to fill the void left by Tottenham and England’s record goalscorer.

Richarlison to play Kane’s central role if he is sold

The Brazilian international’s first campaign at Tottenham proved to be one of frustration after only managing to score a single Premier League goal in 27 appearances for his new side while also suffering respective calf and hamstring injuries halfway through the season (transfermarkt).

Bayern Munich have put their cards on the negotiating table with Tottenham by dealing their final offer for Kane which is said to be worth more than €100m euros (£86.24m) with add-ons included and are expecting a quick decision from chairman Daniel Levy (Sky Sports).

Richarlison will have plenty of pressure on him considering his price tag after a disappointing first season at Spurs and the spotlight among the fanbase will only increase in expectation if he is handed the responsibility to try to play his part to fill Kane’s void.

Time will only tell whether Bayern’s latest offer will be enough to tempt Levy’s hand into selling – one thing is for sure, this cannot continue into next week in fairness to Ange Postecoglou, the Spurs squad and Harry Kane himself.
