Sports Digitale journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has revealed that Galatasaray have made an offer to sign Giovani Lo Celso, with the Turkish transfer window being open until September 15.
Lo Celso was linked with moves to several clubs right through the summer, with the likes of Barcelona (Javi Miguel), Real Betis (Rudy Galetti) and Napoli (Il Mattino) thought to have explored late loan moves for the Argentine.
However, according to various outlets, Ange Postecoglou values the 27-year-old and reassured the player’s camp that he will have a role at Tottenham this season (Express).
Galatasaray submit offer for Giovani Lo Celso
Even though Lo Celso ended up staying beyond Friday night’s European deadline, there is still a possibility that he could leave N17 over the coming weeks.
Turkish sides are allowed to sign players until September 15, and Sabuncuoglu has now asserted that Galatasaray have pushed ahead with a bid for the Tottenham man.
The reporter does not specify whether the Istanbul club’s offer is for a loan or a permanent transfer.
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed Galatasaray’s interest in Lo Celso but he added that the midfielder is not expected to leave Spurs.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Lo Celso was going to leave, he would have done so ahead of the European deadline. Now that the Argentine has been named in Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad, I do not see the club letting him go.
