Spurs confirm striker has signed new deal until 2026

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Dane Scarlett has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.

Scarlett last signed a deal with the north London outfit in March of last year and was due to run until 2023, having been triggered following his 17th birthday (Spurs official).

The 18-year-old made one Premier League appearance last season when he came on the for final three minutes of the 4-0 win at Leeds United in February and also played the full 90 minutes of the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying defeat to Pacos de Ferreira while Nuno Espirito Santo was still in charge (transfermarkt).

The academy product is tipped to head out on loan next season to gain further first-team footballing experience at an EFL club, since opportunities within Antonio Conte’s side are few and far between with heavy competition for places among the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura (Football.London).

A new five-year deal for Scarlett is brilliant news for the player and the club considering he is one of the brightest attacking talents in the country. It will be interesting to see how he progresses next season under the rigours of regular senior football while one eye will also be kept on what the club decide is the best course of action for Troy Parrott.
