‘Stop getting suspended’ – Spurs teammate gives Udogie funny New Year’s resolution

The Tottenham players were asked to pick a New Year’s resolution for their teammates rather than themselves, and as one would expect, there were some hilarious responses.

New Year’s resolutions do have a track record of not lasting very long but that doesn’t stop people from hoping for change around the New Year.

As opposed to picking a resolution for themselves, the Tottenham players were asked to do so for their teammates.

New Year’s resolutions for the Tottenham squad

Emerson Royal was asked what the resolution of his compatriot, Richarlison should be, and the right-back is seemingly not a fan of the striker’s hairstyle. He responded: “Change his hair.”

Destiny Udogie’s tendency to pick up yellows and lacklustre gym work was seemingly what Eric Dier and Guglielmo Vicario wanted the left-back to change.

The English defender said, “Destiny stops getting suspended” while Vicario said about the 21-year-old: “Destiny spending more time in the gym.”

Pedro Porro was clear on what he wanted Sonny to do, calling on him to start 2024 as a champion of Asia. The right-back said about his captain: “Be more handsome, score more goals and be champions of the Asian Cup. Is that okay?”

Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski was asked to pick a resolution for Vicario and the Swede felt that the goalkeeper works too hard for his own good.  The winger joked: “Take some days off sometimes”.

Finally, Bryan Gil had a comprehensive resolution for Porro, telling the right-back: “Go to Euro 2024. Win some trophies with the Club. Return to Champions (League) with Tottenham. I think these could be some of his resolutions.”

Perhaps Postecoglou’s resolution would not be too dissimilar to Gil’s one for Porro. What the Australian will be hoping more than anything in the New Year is for his players to stay free of injuries.
