Team News: Postecoglou reveals injured Spurs player will be out for a ‘couple of months’

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against Burnley during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

The focus in North London now turns to the FA Cup with Tottenham looking to end their long wait for a piece of competitive silverware with their last success in the competition coming way back in 1991 under the management of the late Terry Venables.

With no European football this season, Spurs suffered disappointment in their quest for a domestic trophy when they crashed out of the Carabao Cup with a penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Fulham.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Vincent Kompany’s side.

Posteoglou told the Tottenham media team that Alejo Veliz will be out for a couple of months after the youngster had a scan on his knee. Fortunately, the injury will not require surgery, but it comes just as the Argentine was starting to impress at Hotspur Way.
