When, where, and how to watch Tottenham vs Burnley in the FA Cup

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to embark on a successful cup run as they take on Burnley in the FA Cup third round this weekend, and here’s when the game takes place, and how you can watch the action.

Say it quietly, but Tottenham are technically part of the Premier League title race right now. Ange Postecoglou has got Spurs fans dreaming once more, and the Lilywhites are currently just three points off the top of the table.

Still, it would be quite some feat if Postecoglou were to deliver the Premier League title in his first year with the club, so many fans are looking to the FA Cup as Spurs‘ best chance to win a trophy.

The North London side go into the third-round clash with Burnley in fairly good form, and on the back of a 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend. Meanwhile, the Clarets are still stuck in the bottom three, having suffered a cruel defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Tottenham vs Burnley team news

Tottenham’s injury crisis shows no signs of letting up right now, and Postecoglou has the added pressure of dealing with three key players leaving for international duty, too, including Spurs skipper Heung-min Son.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr are also unavailable as they head off to represent their countries at the African Cup of Nations, while Son is away with South Korea for the Asia Cup.

Spurs also have a number of players out injured, including Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, James Maddison, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, and Manor Solomon. After limping off during the Bournemouth game, young striker Alejo Veliz is also a doubt.

Opponents, Burnley have three players on their injury list, with Luca Koleosho likely to be out until the end of the season and Hjalmar Ekdal out for another couple of weeks. Jack Cork could potentially make his return from injury for the FA Cup clash.

The Spurs Web prediction

With home advantage and the momentum from the win over Bournemouth, I think we can take this one. It’ll be a close game and anything can happen in the cup, but I fancy us for a 2-1 win.
